Jon KochaviJon is a 20-year resident of Folsom, the community he and his wife Cheryl chose to raise their family. Their son Noah graduated from Ridley High in 2022 and their daughter Jordyn currently attends Ridley Middle School. Jon is a lifelong educator with over 30 years of teaching experience at the college level, currently teaching music at Swarthmore College. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, a masters in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, and a Ph.D. in Music from SUNY Buffalo. A product of a suburban public school system, Jon is passionate about the value of public education. He believes that there is nothing more important than providing all of our children with a strong educational foundation to allow them to become productive American citizens and members of our society, whether they choose to pursue college, trade school, or move directly into the workforce. He has particular interest in serving our district students who have special needs. His guiding principle is to do what is best for all of our students in Ridley, Ridley Park, and Eddystone. As a parent of two Ridley students, Jon has worked closely with teachers and administrators across the district, and he is eager to give back to the educational community that has provided so much to his family. |

John (Jack) PraiznerWhy am I running? We need accountability, transparency, and communication about where our tax money is spent. You, the 3rd Ward residents, need an advocate to ensure that the tax dollars you pay to the Township are returned in effective community services, community projects, and improvements you have a voice in. Our neighborhood and our schools should be safe for us and our children through a strong partnership between the Township, the School District, community organizations, and local law enforcement. My plan:

Steve StrazdusWhy am I running? For too long, the Ridley Township Board of Commissioners has collected and spent your tax money without taking input or communicating plans. Here's what I bring to this campaign: Readiness I'm ready to start making a difference. I have the TIME, ENERGY, and PASSION to take the commissioner role head-on. I will work hard to bring transparency to our local government because you, the residents, deserve it. I will NOT know all the answers to your questions or issues, but I WILL work tirelessly to get you those answers. Leadership Experience I worked for 33 years as a Millwright from Local 219. I served my local as President for the last 16 years, and before that, Vice President for 6 years and Trustee for 4 years. I was a delegate to the Regional Council, to the PA State Council of Carpenters, and a delegate to 2 General Conventions. I am experienced in listening to constituents and ensuring their voices are heard. Ward 6 and Ridley Roots I have lived in Ridley with my wife Karen and our two children Kelsey and Kyle for the last 25 years. I am invested in this community. I enjoy my work with the Leedom Estates Civic Association helping with the Santa visits and the 4th of July parades. As my kids were growing up, I coached with Ridley Area Little League and the Ridley Park Athletic Club. I also assisted with events through Roughrider Wrestling and Ice Works Skating Club. I want to represent you and all of Ward 6 on the Board of Commissioners. Help me get there! |
