Committee

Bella was elected Chair of the Ridley Democratic Committee in June 20222. She has been volunteering for the Democratic Party since 2012, when she phone banked for Barack Obama in his second Presidential campaign. As soon as she learned that there was a Ridley Democratic Committee in 2017, she began coming to meetings, and was soon appointed as Committee member for 9-1. She has been involved ever since in various capacities including poll greeting and poll watching, canvassing, and on the training subcommittee.

Bella has been a resident of the Ridley School District since 1980, and of Ridley Township since 1998. All three of her sons attended Ridley elementary schools and the middle school and graduated from Ridley High School. Bella is passionate about electing Democrats at every level, and about welcoming and engaging new members and volunteers.

The Committee is comprised of individuals from the different precincts that are passionately committed to change. Committee members are elected in the primary the same year the governor is elected and serve for a term of 4 years. If there are no candidates running in a precinct, the Chairperson is permitted to appoint someone to fill the spot for the remainder of the term.
